Do You Have a Dream?

" All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney

Do you ever a have a dream and hope to see it through? I had this dream café in mind since way back in 1993. That was really a long time, isn’t it? Recently, this dream had come alive once again. Somehow, I believe God is propelling me to towards realizing it.

My desire for me owning the café is to reach out to those lost souls and lead them to Christ whenever opportunities arise. I believe I can somehow share my personal testimonies with those regular customers and prayerfully, their minds will be enlightened and their hearts be touched by God’s love that had flowed through me.

It was my ultimate aim that the café would set up a rippling effect of blessings to anyone who walked into the cafe either through my sharing or from any of my staff. That even the health food or drinks they consumed in my premise would grant them the nourishment their body needs;or they would even be ministered by the music I played at the background or the scripture/ inspirational wordings I decorated the café with.

I prayed that the passion I have will never wither… instead, it will bloom like lily in the pond. Lily stands out from the muddy pond, not tinted by the muddy soil. I prayed that God would grant me the courage to pursue my dream and strong belief to see to the opening of the café. I prayed the Lord to grant me resources along the way and the wisdom to always make the right choices.

Two Rainbows

Yesterday I went to Paya Lebar Airbase to witness the National Runway Cycling event which is held every year. This year being the 10th Anniversary fro this event and a 1st time for me and my family.

It started to rain as we approach the airbase. Thankfully for a short while, the sun appears to shine through the clouds and wow…. I saw the wonder of God’s creation – Rainbow. It’s the 1st time in my life to witness 2 rainbows!! I thank God I managed to capture these beautiful moments in film. It’s been 4 years ago since I last seen a rainbow.

I thank God for answering my prayers. I had silently hoped to see one again for quite some time. I was even sharing with a girl friend of mine just the night before about the longing to see rainbow.

One day I shall scan the pic and share with all of you.

The following is one of the poems I compose (written on 25 Sept 2003)

Love is to let go
The past that would tie you
Brave up to the world
How much love you would give
Not longing for the returns
Just dying to share the love

Blessings to give than to receive
Loving is to give
Your true self
Without any inhibitions
Without any doubts
Without any demands

Refreshing like a new blomm
Its fragrance always touch
One’s heart

I was re-reading a book titled “Footprints in the Snow” by Dr Dixie Chua of Fisherman Of Christ. Was very touched by one of her reflections:

God’s Way is Best

Sometimes it is hard of me to see
Things that happen around me.
How could I with judgment weak
To fully understand His mercy meek?

Moments come when everything seems upset
I can only sit and grieve with lashes wet.
Not knowing it is out of His Divine Grace
That I have been put in this race.

Than suddenly out of life’s dark night
I begin to see how God’s plans are right.
As the stars shine most deeper tints of blu
So is the love of God in dark days most true.

Let every burden harbouring within depart
For God will comfort and heal every wounded heart.
With tired feet and sandals loose I come to rest
And know that I will say, “God’s Way is Best!”

May you find rest in God alone.

Find Rest in God

I am currently resting. Literally and as well as mentally. After working for the past 10 years in various jobs. I quit recently without getting the next job secured.

Just felt rather burnt out and needed to recharge. For the past one month, life'been really full of beautiful memories...I arranged to meet up old friends and ex-colleagues. Catch up with my family members. Daily to and fro bringing my 3 year old gal to childcare ahd been quite a pleasure - we would sing along the way. And whenever she run ahead of me, she will always turn her head around to give me that angelic smile.

I would liike to encourage those who resting like me to seek God even more earnestly than before. Our souls can only be nourished by Him and His words are like the light upon our feet...leading us in the right direction when we stumble to the darkness or unknown.

May God's peace, joy, love find ways to your heart as you read this message,

"The Meaning of Success"

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and ti endure to the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a little better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know that even one life has breathed easier
because have lived.
This is the meaning of success.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson
